Menifee’s Got Talent returns to the stage
 

After a two-year pandemic-related hiatus, Menifee’s Got Talent returns to the stage on Friday, May 5, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Liberty High School Theatre, 32255 Leon Rd.

There is no cost to perform in the non-competitive variety show. An audition is required. All ages are welcome. Past entertainers have included singers, musicians, comedians, jugglers, and magicians.

In-person auditions will be held on Saturday, March 25, from 9 a,m to 3 p.m. at the Antelope-Menifee Rural Center, 31850 Haun Rd. Video auditions can be submitted online. The deadline for online auditions is March 23.

Judges reviewing submissions will select approximately 20 to 25 acts to be featured in this year’s show.

Online pre-sale tickets to the show are available now at www.artscouncilmenifee.org/menifees-got-talent. General admission tickets cost $8. The cost is $5 for students with ID and seniors 62 and older. A family pack is $25. Tickets at the door cost $10 for general admission, $7 for students with ID and seniors 62 and older, and $30 for a family pack. Children five and under are free.

“Menifee’s Got Talent is a great way to get performance experience in front of a live audience,” event organizer Colleen Ackerman said. “In years past, we’ve clearly shown that we have an abundance of talented folks here in Menifee and in our nearby sister cities.”

“We encourage anyone in our community to audition or to come and see the show,” Ackerman said. Proceeds from the show will benefit Arts Council Menifee in its mission to bring the arts to Menifee and local artists to the public.
